Have you ever wondered what happens immediately after death?
Like most people, you probably have at least thought about it.  The Bible tells us that we can know for sure whether we are on our way to heaven or not.  (I Jn. 5:13 - These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.)

Our soul desire here at Ambassador Baptist Church is that each one of you come to a point of repentance and saving faith in Christ.  Ambassador Baptist Church wants you to know we are a loving church family that desires to reach a community for Christ, and we want you to know that God loves and cares for you. He loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you (John 3:16). You see, you cannot have a true compassion for people until you have a real passion for Christ, and that can only come from realizing what Christ did for you.

So what did He do for me?

He paid the penalty that we could not pay for sin. Christ came and lived a sinless life and died on a cruel cross so that He could make a way for people like you and me to spend an eternity with God in heaven and not be condemned to Hell.
II Corinthians 5:21

How can I be sure I am going to heaven?

The ABC’s of Salvation

A - Admit that you are a sinner
“For all have sinned…” Romans 3:23. “The wages of sin is death...” Romans 6:23. Admit it, none of us are perfect - We have all done wrong. No sin can enter heaven before a holy God. So how do we get there?

B - Believe that Christ died for you
“...while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved..” Romans 10:9.

C - Confess that you CANNOT save yourself and trust Jesus Christ as your Savior
“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.” Romans 10:13. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.” Acts 16:31 “...but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. If you call on the Lord Jesus Christ and trust that He is your only hope of heaven, He will save you from your sins and an eternity in hell.  Won't you trust Him to give you eternal life in heaven today?

Why not make sure of heaven and pray today?

Now is the accepted time, today is the day of salvation (II Cor. 6:2).  Don't put it off, we have no promise for tomorrow.  We all know someone who has died unexpectedly or too young - make sure of your future now.  You see, it has nothing to do with who you are as a person, your religious background, or how good you can be, but only on whether you have turned from your sinful direction and trusted in Christ as your Savior.

Pray something like this "Dear Lord, I know that I have done things wrong and I know that I cannot make it to heaven on my own.  I realize that You came to earth to live a perfect life and to die for my sins.  I know that You defeated death and can do that for me when I die.  I accept You as my Savior and  will do my best to live for You as You empower me."
